Application Process

The application process is open for the 2019-2020 school year. As part of our Open Enrollment policy set by our charter, all students are to submit an application to be entered into our lottery for that academic year. An application is all that is required to enroll. However, an application does not guarantee acceptance to our school. Applications for one academic year cannot be used for the following year. Therefore, all applicants are required to submit an application annually if not accepted.


How to Apply - Jersey City

Applying to our Jersey City Campus is easy. Start by filling out our Quick Submit Application which can be found below. After you have filled the Quick Submit Application you will receive confirmation from our Admissions Department. This form enters your child into the M.E.T.S. Charter School lottery.

How to Apply - Newark

For all parents and guardians applying for our Newark Campus must apply through Newark Enrolls and comply with their lottery system.  You are only able to request information regarding the Newark Campus through this website  Newark residents cannot apply to the Jersey City location.

How the Lottery Works

In accordance with our charter, METS enrollment process works through a lottery system. The lottery starts January 15th, 2019. The lottery is activated on the 15th of every month until all available slots are filled. For all applying to the Newark Campus, you must apply through Newark Enrolls and comply with their lottery and application regulations.
