M.E.T.S. Newark Campus hosts Multicultural Night

M.E.T.S. dances to the beat

In an effort to celebrate the different cultures associated with M.E.T.S. Charter School, the Newark campus hosted a Multicultural Night on Friday, April 27th, which included international food, dance and song.  Ms. Suarez, our Biology and Anatomy & Physiology teacher, planned and organized the magnificent night.  Her energy and enthusiasm made the event a huge success and close to 100 people attended. Everyone was excited about the different cultures coming together to put on this global event.  One of the greatest things about this affair was that it was student-driven and gave all M.E.T.S. students the opportunity to learn more about the other cultures that are currently represented on campus.  Board President, Mr. Richard Borkowski, and Trustee, Mr. Wilson Pichardo, came out to support this wonderful occasion.  The night encouraged intellectual dialog and friendship among all students.  Diversity is one of the most beautiful characteristics in New Jersey’s largest city and M.E.T.S. is happy to highlight that at the Newark Campus.
