Background:

Welcome to a new year of Mustang Athletics.  There is a renewed energy and spirit that comes along with the beginning of each season.  I can promise that I, as the Athletic Director, our coaches, and staff will continue to work hard to create an environment of excellence.  M.E.T.S Charter School is a proud member of the NJSIAA which provides our students athletes opportunities as well as post-season play.

Our athletic program provides opportunity for our students to be exposed to the valuable life lessons of teamwork, self-discipline, courage, and fortitude which our student athletes need for all of their endeavors in the future.  These experiences in athletics can teach us how to win with grace and handle defeat with dignity.  The learning that takes place in the athletic program, we believe, compliments our students learning in the classroom and prepares them for life after M.E.T.S Charter School in a post secondary environment.

I will continue to encourage our student athletes to compete with passion, class, and dignity.  I have always believed that success can be defined in many ways but having programs that prepare, execute, and completely exhaust themselves in the competition is success to me.

The M.E.T.S Charter School has an extremely high standard with regard to sportsmanship and conduct.  We expect that both our coaching staff and students athletes uphold these standards at all times.  We also expect that spectators at our games exhibit the same behavior towards our coaches, students, and sport official.

On behalf of the athletic department, administration, coaches and staff, I would like to thank our families and the community for their support of our student athletes.
